Jesus Wept
John 11:40. Jesus saith unto her, said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldest believe, thou should see the glory of God. 41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up His eyes land said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. The 35th verse of John chapter 11 is the shortest verse in scripture. And it is one of the most profound as it speaks to the depth, breadth, and width of the Lord”s love for us. This was pertaining to the death of Lazarus, who was a close friend to Christ along with his family. We can have identity with the brother and sisters of this family and begin to see Christ’s love for them. There had been great tragedy with Lazarus' death but Christ brings an everlasting hope and joy when He raises Lazarus from death. He is brought to life but not a resurrected life as is to come. But He has life again. And the Lord magnifies the Father in the work He does. So should our daily walk magnify the Father who glorifies the Son. This IS the day the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. May the Good Lord richly bless each of you this day. Please continue to pray for one another. Love in Christ. Brother Mike
